CHANGES IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF SELECTED TLDs AFTER JANUARY 1st, 2014

IMPORTANT!!!

Since January 1st, 2014, several changes in the administration of selected TLDs (.com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .name + new gTLDs) had become effective.

1) REGISTRATION - registration process after January 1st, 2014

a) A customer orders registration of a new domain name.
b) After receiving the request for payment, the customer pays the registration fee.
c) After receipt of the correct amount with the correct variable symbol to our account, the domain is sent into the Main Registry for registration.
d) The customer receives information about the completed registration to his contact email address which he wrote in his order.

e) IMPORTANT - NEW!!!! - After the registration, the Registrar Tucows, Inc., sends a confirmation email message with a link to the Registration Agreement to the domain owner. This message shall be confirmed within 15 days following after the registration. If the confirmation is not accomplished within 15 days after the registration, the registered domain name will be suspended and switched off. It will be fully restored only after the domain owner has confirmed the registration.

IF YOU DON´T RECEIVE THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE REGISTRATION, PLEASE, CONTACT US THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED TICKET SENT TO THE DOMAIN DEPARTMENT OR TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS domain@forpsi.com.

Com.: The validation message is always connected into certain contact and it is necessary to confirm it only once even if the contact is registered with more domains. It can be the reason why haven´t you received the validation message yet after domain registration. It is caused that message was confirmed in case of other domain with the same contact data. If you want to be sure, please contact our domain departement for verification of domain status in the registry.

2) EDITING THE HOLDER´S CONTACT

The above mentioned change will be applied as well when editing contact of the domain holder in the Registry: to complete any changes made in the Registry, the Registrar Tucows, Inc., will require confirmation of the requested change. Without confirmation of the change, the change will not be completed.

Editing details of the domain holder in the Main Registry after January 1st, 2014:

a) A customer requests change of his details through an authorized ticket sent from the customer administration .
b) Our administrator (worker of the Domain Department) enters the desired change in the records of the Main Registry.
c) The Registrar Tucows, Inc., sends a confirmation message to the email address of the domain owner and requests confirmation of the proposed changes.
d) The requested changes will be performed only after the customer´s confirmation of the message.

Com.: Validation process is initiated in case of change in name, surname and contact email. When you want to change for example postal address or phone number - there is no reason to confirm validation message.

Com.: If validation message is not confirmed in 15 days, domain becomes inactive till time domain holder confirms it.

3) DOMAIN HOLDER CHANGE - PROCEDURE AFTER JANUARY 1st, 2014

a) Both, the current and future owner send an authorized ticket requesting change of the domain holder.
b) Our administrator (worker of the Domain Department) enters the desired change in the records of the Main Registry.
c) The Registrar Tucows, Inc. sends a confirmation email message to the new domain owner and requests confirmation of the proposed changes.
d) The requested change will be performed only after the new owner´s confirmation of the message.

Com.: If validation message is not confirmed in 15 days, domain becomes inactive till time domain holder confirms it.

4) VERIFICATION OF CONTACT DETAILS BEFORE THE DOMAIN EXPIRATION

According to the new terms and conditions, which became effective on January 1st, 2014, the Main Registrar Tucows, Inc. sends either
30 days or 5 days before the domain expiration a confirmation email to the domain owner to verify the accuracy of the contact details in the Main Registry. Even if the contact details are correct, everything is all right and it is not necessary to do any other actions. If contact details are incorrect, domain holder has to ask for contact update through authorised ticket and then confirm validation message which will be created after change and sent into email of domain holder in the registry. Without this confirmation, for which the Main Registry will wait for maximum of 15 days, the operation of the domain name will be suspended until the owner confirms the confirmation link.

5) VERIFICATION OF CONTACT DETAILS DURING THE DOMAIN REGISTRATION

Maintaining current and available contact information in the Registry is, according to the Contractual Terms, one of the responsibilities of the owner of the domain name. Based on this provision, the Main Registrar Tucows, Inc. is entitled to verify the contact details of a registered domain at any time during the domain registration. From January 1st, 2014, domain holder can receive from central registry Tucows the validation message for control and confirmation of accuracy of contact details in the registry. This message MUST BE confirmed by the owner of the domain within the following 15 days. If the domain owner does not confirm in this way, the operation of the domain will be suspended until the confirmation is accomplished.
