Transfer emails to Forpsi

To transfer your email services to Forpsi, you have to do these steps:
 
1. Order one of served hostings  (Easy, Advanced, Professional) or the additional service E-mails, see the offer on our page.
  • hosting includes also the space for web, trial period 18 days
2. Create your mailboxes
  • if you entered names of mailboxes when you ordered the hosting or the additional service E-mails, they are created automatically
  • or you can create mailboxes in Administration after login to the web interface webmail.forpsi.com as postmaster, see the article Creating mailbox
  • you can access to your mailboxes in the web interface webmail.forpsi.com or from email client, more information in the article Email clients settings
Note: You can set in the email client both email accounts, the account at original provider and the new account at Forpsi (even if they have the same name, they differ in the used mailservers)
 
3. Change the MX record
  • before you change the MX record, contact us with chat or ticket,so that we can set to accept your emails on the mailserver mxavas.forpsi.com in the time of change of MX records of your domain, see the article Transfer of email services to Forpsi - error "Sorry, relay access denied"
  • set the MX record of your domain with priority 10 and the value mxavas.forpsi.com (for our NS servers see the article How to set MX records), remove the origin MX records
  • if you are using other NS servers than ours, you can change only the value of the MX record of these NS servers, or you can change NS servers to Forpsi (if you also change the placing of your web, or if you don't have the web four your domain)
Note: After the change of the MX record or the NS servers, your emails will be for some time (depends on caching of the MX records) delivered to the original mailserver and to the new mailserver mxavas.forpsi.com.
 
Poznámka: If you have set the SPF record for your domain, don't forget to edit it, see the article Setting of SPF record. And if you have activated DKIM, ask for its activation on the mailserver smtp.forpsi.com, see the article Signing of outgoing emails on the server smtp.forpsi.com using DKIM
    
4. Move data from the original mailbox to the new at Forpsi  
Access to the original mailbox in webmail or with IMAP
  • the easiest way is to transfer emails from the original mailbox into the new with IMAP in the email client. Sample in Thunderbird:
    • add both email IMAP accounts
    • copy all nonsystem folders (yellow icon) so that you keep pushed the key [CTRL] and drag the folders to the name of the new mailbox
    • copy emails from all system folders - select all messages in system folder with the keys [Ctrl]+A, drag and drop them into the relative folder in the target email account
Access to the original mailbox with POP3
  • Thunderbird - after you remove the original email account from Thunderbird, emails from this account will be also removed. So, move at first the emails (drag with mouse) from the original account to the account at Forpsi
  • MS Outlook - if you remove only the original POP3 account and not the relative data file, emails will not be removed from Outlook
  • Apple Mail - after you remove the original email account from Thunderbird, emails from this account will be also removed. So, move at first the emails (drag with mouse) from the original account to the account at Forpsi
  • Opera Mail - after you remove the original email account from Thunderbird, emails from this account will be also removed. So, move at first the emails (drag with mouse) from the original account to the account at Forpsi
